As a Chef De Partie for Pastry, you will be responsible for overseeing your section in the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and presentation of dishes meet the highest standards of quality and taste. Your role involves working closely with the kitchen team and contributing to the overall success of the kitchen department.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads and confectionery items.
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all pastry products.
Organize and manage mise en place for the pastry section.
Supervise and train Commis Chefs and other junior pastry staff.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and ordering.
Minimize food waste and control production costs.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.
Assist the Pastry Sous Chef or Executive Pastry Chef in menu development and seasonal offerings.
Coordinate with other kitchen departments to ensure smooth service operations.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
